Preparations are underway for the 2nd Conference on Collaboration for Sustainable Communities, to be hosted in Corner Brook in the fall of 2016. The committee assembled for the organization of this year’s event is comprised of students, faculty, and staff representing several faculties and organizations active at Grenfell Campus, Memorial University. We met today to discuss our plan and vision for the event.
Building on the success of last year’s conference, the committee is looking to provide a platform for students, academics, industry representatives, and community members to share ideas and current research. This year’s conference will focus on a theme related to community sustainability in both Newfoundland and Labrador and beyond. Deliberations for this theme are currently underway and will be announced in the near future – stay tuned!
