HSDN International Observed Independence Day of Bangladesh and World Water Day
HSDN International and BCS observed Bangladesh Independence Day and World Water Day on 26 March, 2017 in BCS seminar room in Danforth, Toronto, Canada. The seminar was titled “Independence of Bangladesh and Water Development” to explore the water situation in Democratic Republic of Bangladesh. About 50 audiences from communities, academia, youths, various interest groups and politicians joined the seminar to listen the presentation and take part in conservation and questions & answer session.
Dr. Nasima Akter, BCS executive director and chair of HSDN International chaired the event while Mr. Jannatul Islam, founder and executive director of HSDN International open the event through his welcome address. The event was moderated by Dr. Rokhsana Reza while researches presented by Kevin Boiragi on “Water Crisis in Bangladesh” and Teresa A Gomes on “Environmental Migration in Bangladesh: Trade-offs and Extent of Vulnerability”.
