HSDN International Distributed Free Tree to the Community
HSDN International is working for holistic sustainability with the moto of live simply live lively. We jointly with BCS and Toronto Parks and Tree Foundation organized an event on Tree for Me on November 19, 2017 in Ghoroa Restaurant parking lot, Toronto where we distributed about 86 native trees to the residence of Toronto.
City of Toronto through Toronto Parks and Tree Foundation reaching out to the community group to increase the tree numbers motivating private property owners to plant tree in their back yard. The idea is to cover 40% of the tree in city of Toronto which is now less than 29%. Without access to the individual who has a backyard, it is difficult to reach to the target of tree coverage. In this process, the initiatives engaged community organizations to reaching out to the community people. HSDN International is proud to be a part of this initiative as a mandate of pursuing sustainability through collaboration to live simply live lively.
We received huge responses which encourages us to work with the community and local group. Thanks to all volunteers and participants. Though it’s not enough to mention the name still special thanks to the Margo Mullin, Mirza Vai and the Bangla School family especially Mrs. Raffia and Mrs. Romana. We are looking forward to collaborating with individual(s) and organization(s) for the sustainable society.
